Intermediate Kayak Clinic (2 Days)
Towards higher level white water skills.
This clinic is for people that have had Class 3 experience and are working towards paddling Class 4 rivers.
Our 2 day clinic will focus on correction of individuals’ weak points.
Classification of rivers is sometimes hard to judge but here are some examples of other Japanese rivers that you might be associated with.
Yoshino River in Nara= Class 2, Kitayama River in Wakayama = Class 3, Yoshino River (Koboke section) in Shikoku =Class 4.

Participant requirements :
-Must be able to perform ferry, eddy catch, eddy exit on Class 2 rivers.
-They must also have paddled 5 or more times Class 3 rivers.
-Paddle with confidence and read white water.
-Be able to eddy catch in a small eddy (about the size of 2 boats)
-Roll proficiently in moving water.
-Help with rescue situations.
Minimum group size: 2
Maximum group size: 5
For Junior High School students and up.
Junior High School children are requested to be accompanied by a guardian.

Price: 24000 yen/ per person (price includes instruction fee, insurance, gear rental)
Meeting time:10:00

Tours subject to cancellation because of weather conditions.
Depending on season, weather conditions, and water levels the section of river that we paddle may change.

What to bring: clothes that can get wet (swimsuit,etc), footwear that can get wet (sports sandals,etc –footware will get wet so please bring change of footwear), own kayaking gear, hat, water bottle, lunch for 2 days, sunscreen, towel and change of clothes for end of the lesson,sleeping bag,sleeping pad(mattress). we share day1 dinner & day2 breakfast with all of participants.
