Beginner and Intermediate Kayak School
This course is geared for people working towards whitewater paddling, who have already had experience paddling and have been on class 2 rivers a few times.
Classification of rivers is sometimes hard to judge but here are some examples of other Japanese rivers that you might be associated with.
Yoshino River in Nara= Class 2, Kitayama River in Wakayama = Class 3, Yoshino River (Koboke section) in Shikoku =Class 4.

Participant requirements :
For those who have experienced flat water kayaking as well as 5 to 10 times on whitewater.
Must be able to perform basic ferry, eddy catch, eddy exit.
Also participants must be able to wet exit, self rescue, roll in flat water and what to challenge rolling in moving water.
Minimum group size: 2
Maximum group size: 5
For Junior High School students and up.
Junior High School children are requested to be accompanied by a guardian.

Price: 11000 yen/ per person (price includes instruction fee, insurance, gear rental)
Meeting time: 10:00
Meeting place: Kumano Hongu Taisha

clothes that can get wet (swimsuit,etc), footwear that can get wet (sports sandals,etc –footware will get wet so please bring change of footwear), hat, water bottle, lunch, sunscreen, towel and change of clothes for end of the lesson.
